Testing of insulating systems of electrical machines
Procházka, Jan ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis defines basic required properties of insulation systems in rotating electric machines. The following are procedures for their testing and results of conducted tests.
Breakdown Voltage Measurement of Solid and Liquid Dielektric Materials
Ryšavý, Tomáš ; Pelikán, Luděk (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This thesis aims to theoretically describe the formation of electric breakdown in solid and liquid dielectric materials and subsequently focuses on the measuring itself. In addition to describing the standardized procedure of electrical breakdown or breakdown voltage of dielectric materials, this paper also focuses on the most important parameters and conditions that affect the electric strength of materials. This thesis also includes designs of electrode systems and test chambers for measuring solid and liquid dielectrics.
Dielectric properties of liquid insulators
Jahn, Michal ; Starý, Jiří (referee) ; Špinka, Jiří (advisor)
This master‘s thesis deals with measurement of liquid dielectric materials (insulators). Above all, it is the different kinds of clean and drinking water, but also transformer oils. There was done theoretical information retrieval about the given topic in this project and on the basis of theory there were realized the relevant measurements of selected properties of liquid dielectric, such as permittivity, capacitance, loss number, conductivity, but also temperature dependence of these parameters. The measurements were realized with the help of product manufactured at the faculty FEKT VUT and with the help of measuring system AGILENT 16452A. The measured results were evaluated, graphically processed and compared.
Degradation of liquid insulators for high voltage
Komárek, Filip ; Štěpánek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with measurement of liquid insulators. Mainly it deals with diagnostic tests of transformer oil. Diagnostic tests are needed to identify oil status and to determine the parameters of the oil. The status of the used oil determines its type of degradation and progress of degradation. For the determination of degradation it is necessary to know the composition of the essential oil, to determine how it has changed the structure of the oil and the oil did not contain before use. To determine the basic electrical properties of the oil are used in diagnostic tests such as dielectric strength and dissipation factor. This work is in addition to a summary of diagnostic tests observation of mineral oil with an unknown degree of degradation and behavior of impurities in mineral oil once the electric field.
Methodology of Determination of Electroinsulating Properties
Čanigová, Veronika ; Nevřivová, Lenka (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
The core of this bachelor thesis is porcelain and electrical porcelain property specification accompanied by definition and explanation of electric conductivity. The theoretical section provides insight into electrical porcelain production from initial raw material exploitation to final stages of body baking. The experimental part compiles a number of electrical porcelain test methods based on current European standards and draft test procedures, which are followed in order to specify properties of conventional electrical porcelain as well as emerging anorthite porcelain based on aluminate cement.
Design of placing high voltage electrodes of the projection set of electron microscope on insulating rods
Pavlas, Ondřej ; Musil, Vladislav (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
In it´s first part, this presented master´s thesis focuses on the problematics of actions taking place in dielectric materials and phenomenons on the surface of real insulators placed in electric field. This research is followed by selection and rating of appropriate ceramic materials for the actual design of the metal – ceramic assembly. The greatest emphasis is given to design of the optimal configuration of the insulator and electrode, which is supported by simulations from the software that implements finite element method. Eventually, the high voltage tests of the assembly used for measuring leakage currents are performed.
Thermal degradation of insulation materials from the cable industry
Kučera, Filip ; Krbal, Michal (referee) ; Pelikán, Luděk (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to get acquainted with the properties and parameters of insulation materials of various types (PVC, PE). Measure these properties with a Tettex 2830/2831. Perform a theoretical analysis of the aging of insulating materials and propose a procedure for the formation of thermal degradation. Finally, find out how the properties of insulating materials, electrical strength and mechanical properties change due to thermal degradation.
